Founded in 1987, Norwest Commercial & Industrial has expanded its services into commercial property sales, leasing and management.
Norwest Commercial & Industrial was founded in 1987 by Earle Beaumont, colloquially known as the Sheriff of Norwest in recognition of his role as strata manager of many of the early buildings in Norwest Business Park and his position on the board of directors of Norwest Association Limited for 19 years.
The business started as an industrial specialist agency in the Hills District, but expanded its services into commercial property sales, leasing and management with the expansion of the Norwest Business Park. Today, Norwest Commercial & Industrial is the longest running agency under the same family management and the largest agency specialising in the northwest business precincts.
We are proud to remain a family business; albeit one that has embraced the professionalism normally associated with much larger businesses.
Norwest Business Park is a thriving business community strategically located with direct access to Sydney’s orbital motorway system, providing easy access to the CBD, airport and Sydney’s manufacturing and distribution heartland.
The Business Park has grown to accommodate over 20,000 employees, with expansion expected to increase capacity to over 35,000 employees. To accommodate such growth, two metro stations have been opened in the business park: Norwest and Bella Vista stations. The opening of these stations has dramatically improved the attractiveness of Norwest Business Park to organisations looking to establish a presence in an established and easily accessed precinct outside the major Sydney and Parramatta CBDs.
The Business Park has a wide range of space available accommodating companies such as Woolworths, Resmed, BBraun, and Inchcape (Subaru), and a plethora of small and medium businesses.
It is also home to the Hills Private Hospital and the Lakeside Hospital for Specialist Surgery.
The Hills Shire has the highest proportion of businesses between three to four people and this is reflected by the amount of quality office space available between 50–150m2.
In recognition of the key role the Norwest Business Park plays within the Hills Shire, the Hills Shire Council has relocated its council chambers within the Business Park.
Prior to the development of Norwest Business Park, the majority of non-residential developers in the area had concentrated on purely industrial projects. Norwest Business Park signified a major shift in development thinking: instead of developing properties for mainly industrial purposes, a significant proportion of office and retail space became part of the picture.
In recent years, in addition to a number of sites being developed purely for residential use, a number of proposals to redevelop sites in the Business Park have been made, some of which include large scale high-density residential development. Accordingly, the Norwest Business Park will be an integrated precinct incorporating a wide range of business, leisure and residential uses.
